Listen to how quickly the room grows quiet when she starts to sing.
Susan is only about 23 in this video and how different her life would have been if she had been “discovered” then.
It’s not too late – her voice is even better now.
I cannot wait to buy Susan Boyle’s first CD.

Somewhere in Glasgow
A woman is ridiculed by the crowd
Somewhere in Glasgow
A woman sings bold and proud
Somewhere in Glasgow
A crowd stands to cheer
And somewhere in America
A man sheds a tear

The U.S has a similar feel good story, Donald Braswell came in 4th on AGT last year. On his first audition he came out in a crumpled business suit and the crowd was mocking him like they did Susan and America was worse, they started booing him, but instead of running off the stage, he kept singing and his voice is a God given gift that turned the crowd around to where they were giving him a standing ovation like they did Susan. Check out Your Raise Me Up on Youtube. Susan is awesome!

Im a great fan of Susan as she is now, but, to be honest, you can tell she has had some training since this was made. Its all ptretty tuneless. Shows how great her ambition was to go from this to what she is now, for which she deserves great credit.
By ClearConscience1 on May 31, 2009
Yeah, the guy playing isn’t in tune and she’s still hitting every note to perfection1 This is her destiny. She is a marvelous singer and nobody can deny it, not even the superficial world as it certainly is! Spectacular! If you can’t ‘see’ her beauty than you are the blind.

she gets so many praises regarding her voice and talent. it seems almost as though the only that’s keeping her back, even as of today, it’s her looks. makeovers can turn any “ugly ducklings” to super models… so why doesn’t she get a make over if it’s the only thing that’s keeping her from becoming a great selling artist?? i always hear people say she’s got talent but not the looks. looks are easy to improve: example: celine dion. just wondering…..
By babeeguh842003 on May 31, 2009
What is truly amazing is even though the musician behind her is wavering between a few musical keys she is maintaining absolutely perfect pitch. That in itself proves her marvelous talent, regardless of what some people may say about her outward appearance, it’s her inner beauty that makes her so appealing.

woman has a beautiful soul.

Shouldn’t we get together all the videos and everything form our holy Susan to edit the very first democratic cd, outside all this arrogant and self-suffcient “”show”-business with the dictatorship of “youth”, “beauty” and other bloody culture

Are you a chimp who dont know about human singing, or see same chimps anywhere?
My cockatoo dances hearing susan singing, knows better than you.
If you are human, why don’t you know ethics, or are you from a low level background, an impolite youth who only chats all day, use narcotics, fight with other gangs, ask money with a knife etc?

Beautiful voice, which I suspect she has yet to learn to fully make use of. She can just open up whenever necessary and raise another octave or a few decibels without having to prepare and strain to hit those high notes. She has plenty of reserve and can sing well without the looks, the showmanship, big $ marketing and all that audio engineering marvels that maketh so many of our top singers. BGT is showing up the usual big entertainment scouts that focus on the wrong qualities in a singer.
