idiots for picking seinfeld. they probably picked him because they thought he was accessible, not because his stand up was good. network people stepped aside while the show was being put together. also, larry david was the one making sure they did what they wanted. without larry the show would’ve been plltt.

I’m not following you completely. The show is a classic so wasn’t it a good move by the network to give seinfeld a show? Why were they idiots for creating a classic and making lots of money in the process?

I think Seinfeld should replace Letterman when Letterman retires, though no-one else seems to agree with me on that.

he’s not that funny, i agree. he represents more now tho so he gets away with it. network people are idiots so he got a show in the first place. i’m glad they’re idiots cuz the show is classic. but seinfeld gets lucky every once in a while with stand up, but he’s not very good. he’s relying on a reputation. honestly, it’s given him more bravado which make his routines even more uncomfortable for me sometimes.
