  5. I imagine that they will face the Kaaba, the black cube that is the holiest site in Islam. Part of the Hajj (pilgrimage) is to walk around it a few times. I think that they also face it whenever they pray.

  17. Since I live in the U.S. I’ve been woefully behind in finding out about this program but recently did and really appreciate the way comedy is used to tackle some difficult issues but also show the Muslim community in different lights – not as a monolithic body. Thanks to everyone (because I know it is due to many people) who have uploaded this video and all the others.

  20. Well, discussion is good…. I am Muslim and American and I am treated like a foreigner in my own country. My ancestors were here first, my uncles fought in several wars, etc…it all means nothing. I have nothing to assimilate to because not only am I American but I am of native origin. To me, they want to chose my religion for me.

  24. You make a valid point, however you are right about the doctor-patient relationship. Plus, I think a lot of Muslims who live in the west are amenable to a pat on the back, a handshake or a friendly hug between women and men. It’s not so strictly interpreted depending on the culture and environment.

  25. I like the fact that it humanizes a community. I hope they continue to use humor to discuss controversial topics (gays, divorce, assimilation, immigration etc.). Muslims who keep complaining should realize that Irish, Italians, Jews, etc. all had to put up with discrimination once. It’s a matter of integrating into the greater community and participating in civic affairs that will speed up acceptance.
