Progression is what makes music, music. The ability that a band can progress their sound I feel is what keeps someone listening to a band. It makes it exciting to wait for a new record. Metallica’s transition wasn’t the best, it went from one extreme to another. It’s best to take it slow. However there are bands that don’t have to transition and Megadeth is one of them. Honestly, because of that, I got kind of bored of Megadeth.

i was happy when i heard headcrusher i tought this almost sounds as a classic and then 1.320 came and that really sounded like a classic!
i think endgame is going to be one off the best modern albums from classic bands
By Guyverhoeven on Sep 9, 2009
basically, the reason megadeth is better is because they never stoped there music style from its core. liesten to death magnetic. that album is anything BUT classic metallica. but listen to like 1320 by megadeth. that sounds JUST like classic megadeth

what’s the name of the intro played before Ace Of Spades?
By Rogeriosantine on Sep 9, 2009
take for example some world music from india (with sitar, tabla, etc) no kids leisurely listens to that, cmon, its not catchy. by the way, ravi shankar, the famous sitar player, played at monterey pop in 1967.

you can get famous writing the most shit, cliche, overcompressed music possible. look at bad pop nowadays. this is because the business is ruined, for money. back when pop was pop in the 60s, it was real musicians, real listeners wanting artists that made music from the heart, etc. you can also take music that has so much heart and soul and never hear of it.
By DimebagsLeftToe on Sep 9, 2009
personally, i have grown and loved basically all kinds and shapes of music.. you name it. BUT, being a musician myself, music that does not appeal to me is when the artist makes it for reasons that arent what i would make music for (getting inspired, writing a great song, expressing yourself) the jonas brothers? full of shit. im sure they have studio technicians write riffs, melodies, etc. because i can literally hear it. i can hear the cliches and the studio magic that they put on. its not them
