from Monty Python’s Flying Circus
Season 1 – Episode 09
The Ant, An Introduction
Recorded 07-12-69, Aired 14-12-69
It starts with the “Homicidal Barber” who we then discover to be the cross-dressing jolly-singing lumberjack wannabe…
To wrap things up, Gumby shows off his incredibly talented crooning… Very touching!
Touching indeed!
I’m slowly uploading the entire Flying Circus series… Got any requests?

In reality, the British made the funny, real version, and the Americans made the over-the-top, sometimes quite funny version equipped with the most annoying studio audience on earth.

Now fascism seems somewhat appealing.

Apoint me as world dictator and there will be laws stating all sexy women must not wear clothing. Also fat chicks must wear a tent when out in public.

if you mean whose line is it anyways. the british made it first.. and then the americans made a funnier version of it i guess…

Yours faithfully, Brigadier Sir Arthur Charles Strong (Mrs.)!
LOL! That is so fucking hilarious! Even the “only a few of them are transvestites” line. Supposedly, this sketch was a response to Britain’s anti-homosexual laws at the time.
The little “I don’t approve of all this sex on television. I mean, I keep fallin’ off” bit had me confused for a while, but I realize it is making fun of the conservative, strict types who frown at those who push the bar of censorship.

they also originally had Whose Line too.

How about we drop all this England vs. America stuff and just enjoy each other’s culture? You have Monty Python, we have Whose Line.

“Many of my friends are lumberjacks, and only a few of them are transvestites.”
LOL

Why do people blame the new generation of comedians for ruining comedy? Clearly all the good jokes have been exhausted.
