The U.S has a similar feel good story, Donald Braswell came in 4th on AGT last year. On his first audition he came out in a crumpled business suit and the crowd was mocking him like they did Susan and America was worse, they started booing him, but instead of running off the stage, he kept singing and his voice is a God given gift that turned the crowd around to where they were giving him a standing ovation like they did Susan. I liked what cryptechblues said two weeks ago, “Real beauty doesn’t have a dress size. Real beauty isn’t Paris, or Britney. Give us more, much more, of Susan and real beauty.” I can’t say it any better than that. What if you, yourself had been born with a mental handicap because of oxygen deprevation during the birth process? Well, that is what happened to Susan. She spent her school days in Special Ed being teased and taunted in her village. Would YOU handle that any better than Sue?

It’s that we had all bought into the illusion. Even seeing it on youtube, knowing she must be amazing we are still surprised with how full and confident her voice is. Beauty shows through. That is what strikes a chord with us. It makes us remember, we, have something beautiful inside us as well and to hell with Hollywood and the media for trying to steal that from us. Real beauty doesn’t have a dress size. Real beauty isn’t Paris, or Britney. Give us more, much ,more of Susan and real beauty.
