Tribute To Susan Boyle… I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables by Branden James
May 30, 2009 – 1:18 pm
I was so inspired this week by watching the clips of Susan Boyle from Britain’s Got Talent that I felt led to pay tribute to her. This is “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables which she performed on the show. To me, it is a sign of the future of the world– that someone who so clearly missed the boat and does not look the part can be accepted and revered in historic numbers. We are a changing people and our world will become a better place. Enjoy everyone!

I hope you get paid for singing! You are awesome. Are you on Broadway?

What an accomplishment. You are really gifted, and you also must have worked really, really hard to be able to sing and play that.

When you first started, I thought you were in too high an ‘octave,’ or whatever it’s called, but then it was great.
It must be absolutely wonderful to hear Susan Boyle and love it, and then be able to sing it yourself, and play your own accompaniment!

I liked that so much. I sing at the piano too, but not so well. Are you a professional? Susan has brought us together, hasn’t she? A paradox of a woman; she means so much to so many.

I would really like to hear you sing this song with a good microphone and recording and in a more proper setting. I really, really enjoy your voice. It is far better and richer than the other male voices I’ve heard with this song. I’ve probably listened to your version 15 times and it still stirs me. My sincere compliments, Branden. I really hope you become more known.

Your rendition is really wonderful. I’ve watched it several times and it is very stirring and you clearly sing from your heart. Who are you? What do you do? Do you have a CD? Could you please post some more videos with other songs? Your singing has touched me deeply. Thanks so much.
