I actually remember when the interview aired. Right after it they went to Brooke and asked her about it, she said they were only friends.
They went out together all the time and I think Michael liked her, so he considered it dating and she didn’t.

everyone on that stage knew Michael and if they didnt they said it. Queen Latifah spoke for the fans as she was one of them and never met him. Brooke Shields Dated Michael and were very close friends. Who on that stage did not know Michael? Other then the Idol, Shaheen and Queen Latifah.
