Michael Jackson performs Billie Jean live at Motown’s 25th Anniversary Special. The segment was taped live on March 25, 1983 and aired on NBC May 16, 1983. This is probably my all-time favorite music moment ever, period !! MJ tore it up !!

He did sing live it only looks like it’s out of sync because of the satalite transmission delay. He was the most prolific entertainer of our times!! I wish I could have watched him live, this video is definitely MJ at his prime. LONG LIVE THE KING – R.I.P MJ XX

Yo you need to check out that episode of Oprah when Michael said he got it from some kids. And in actuality, he got it from Turbo from Breakin..

THE GREATEST & MOST ELECTRIFYING ENTERTAINER OF “ALL TIME”!!! Nobody can or could hold a match to him (not Sammy, not Elvis, etc.). Thanks Michael for the memories…we love you & you will be greatly missed!!! God cemented your place in HIStory…you are the best there is, the best there was and the best there EVER WILL BE!!! There are the Greats but then there’s “THE GREATEST” AND THAT’S ‘MJJ’…R.I.P. my brother (it’s still unreal)!!!

Mike saw the dance on Soul Train and wanted to use it. It had already been around for about three years at the time. He paid a man named Geron Candidate (“Casper”) $1000 to teach him; took him a while, but he finally got it and used it on Motown 25. Look into it yourself.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I could watch 3:41 a thousand times and not find one IOTA of imperfection. Timing. Precision. Originality. Bob Fosse might have been a pioneer, Alvin Ailey might be the grand dad, and Sammy Davis the greatest all around entertainer; but Sammy and the rest of those greats would agree that THIS perfomance is top 5 when it comes to best ever.
